SO MUCH SWIMMING THIS WEEKEND!!!!!! We've been getting on the lake every day, and I've gotten a lot of practice and, well, I think I’ve pretty much got this thing down now. Everyone is so happy about it! I even got to show off in front of a large audience, as there were boats everywhere this weekend, with one fully loaded pontoon boat passing me by as I nailed the landing and climbed easily out of the water into the boat. It was so fun, I got a huge cheer from the pontoon, and even a few people took photographs and perhaps a video! This week I also learned how to get in the water with it, and even though I still miss the landing occasionally, I’m getting very comfortable. My parents are thrilled with me every time I make it in and out of the water without their help, and I get very excited! I think I’ll take a few days off and rest from all the exercise I got! Tell your humans to get you one of these ramps immediately!
This was not the Spring I'd been hoping for! We have had the boat out for two months now, and I’ve only been swimming once, and it's still raining!!!! I've been really bored being cooped up in the house all day barking at the walkers! My luck finally changed yesterday, though. My parents left me outside all day, which is usually a good sign that I’ll be swimming later, and they didn’t disappoint! I gave everyone kisses and barked at ducks, and got to chase my ball in the water over, and over, and over again! Plus I got to do my favorite thing ever which is to give wet hugs and shake off near everything that is dry! I still haven’t quite figured out this new thing they keep making me use though. Mom also doesn't know to film a video properly....we're both learning!
It was nice of my dad to get in the water with me, and I did get it right a few times finally! Boy is it helpful and easy on my old bones, and it’s a lot easier on my Dad’s old bones too! After swimming we went for a cruise around the lake so I could dry off, and it was a glorious evening. I am definitely not in great swimming shape yet, but I swam as much as I could before Mom said no more, but that’s why we practice!
OH MY GOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSH! What a great weekend I had! I got to be outside all day Friday, jump off the boat and swim on Saturday, and played with my cousin Ruby on Sunday! It was the BEST.WEEKEND.EVER!!!! I thought the water was great, but Dad wanted no part of it and appeared less than happy when I gave him a big, wet hug! He had put me on this crazy contraption that he says "is to help me," but let me just say that mistakes were made on both our parts! I think we need more practice, but when it worked, it worked well and I got in and out of the water with ease! I promised my parents we'd do some more testing before I offer up my full review, but here's a sneak peek:
Apparently it's available right now in the store, or also at the link right under the picture. You will love it! You can see a video on instagram here. I'll be sure to get a report back up again soon after we've had ample time to perfect the Dog-On-Water ramp, and I'll also update you on everything that I got to bark at this weekend! We've had some submissions for Lake Dog of the month and have a winner for May...keep sending my Dad your submissions and he will happily provide you a feature on the page and on something called "social media."
Something is up, i'm sure of it. There's no ice and the ducks are back (jerks). No sign of the boat they bought for me last year, but my humans have been spending more and more time outside near the water. Further investigation required, but I'm pretty sure something is up!
Hi, I'm Murphy, and I love the lake life! Being on the lake is literally the greatest thing ever! I'll keep you updated on all the great lake activities and toys my humans give me
