2014 was a successful-ish season for me. I dipped my toe into the triathlon water, and the water was warm! I wanted more. I went from very fat and terrible shape, almost to my in-season wrestling weight and in great shape (55lbs lost!), I had some good experiences, and I knew I wanted to go faster and longer. The one thing that had put a damper on the year was just a small twinge of pain in my butt (literally)...it didn’t really bother me too much, but it was there, and I could notice it (read my 2014 season summary for the longer version). As the calendar changed years and I started putting my race schedule together, I had four main goals: stay healthy, break 1-hour at a sprint, do an Olympic distance race, and compete in the Clydesdale Sprint National Championship. SPOILER ALERT: I went 0-for-4.
