If you're lucky enough to live on a lake, you're lucky enough!
Boating, swimming, tubing, floating, dogs, drinking, decorating, gadgets, entertaining, home improvement, and everything else that goes with living on the lake.
It's the most wonderful time of the summer!!!
Charlie Kelly knows what America is all about...ROCK, FLAG, and EAGLE! I believe that every day is Independence day in America, and my opinion is that freedom is always in style, especially on the lake! I have amassed quite the collection of 'Merica gear, and wear it loudly and proudly! Here's a list of some affordable, stylish, and incredible pieces that will be sure to let everyone know that you're a freedom-loving Patriot! Most of this stuff is already organized and selected for you over in The Lake Store 'Merica Collection, but I haven't gotten the store to work on mobile yet because I have little to no idea what I'm doing for the most part.
Get star spangled hammered
This racer-back ladies tank fits as described, and looks great! It's less than $15 and comes in different colors. There are several variations on the design available, and I think it's a pretty good shirt to wear to big events year round. This was taken at Talladega, and it got a lot of praise.
do you even 'merica bro?
This is another comfy racerback tank that fits a little smaller than described. I'd order one size up probably. This tank is aggressively asking a legit question. If your answer is no, you'd better find a new boat, unless you're my international friends (hello Kiwi readers!). Speaking of international readers, I'm sure you like to tease American's for this exact attitude, which is of course fine with me (freedom means you can do that sort of thing), and you should probably pick up one of these shirts to wear at your next theme party.
Protect your eyes from harmful rays and communists everywhere you go! For under $10, you can have your own pair of American Flag Wayfarers or aviators. Buy extra because a) your friends will want to borrow them, and b) you will probably be so full of pride (and domestics) while wearing them that you'll lose them. Apologies for the unkempt beard closeup.
throwback mesh usa tank
If you were alive in the 80s and 90s, you probably wore one of these types of mesh tanktops (probably in gym class). This is one of my most favorite shirts period. It's so comfy, and has some weight to it. It fits huge though, so go down at least one size. I'm frequently between an L and an XL depending on the injury or the weekend, I bought an L and it fits me well, maybe even still a little big. It says it's reversible, however there is no logo on the white side. No one will know about your 'merican pride when you wear the white side......actually, yes, they probably still will!
George, Ben, a bald eagle, beer, and fighter jets
I was feeling skinny the day I ordered this tank, so I ordered a large. It runs tight, and the large was definitely too small. I have some pictures in it, but none I'm willing to share with you all! Here's the Link:
classic usa tank and murica hat
This is your classic USA tank top. It has that old-school vibe to it, and it's comfy as hell, as if you were wrapped up in Old Glory herself. A nice cut around the neck line, just enough to let your chest hair show because you're a man's man, unless of course you're a lady, then it will show just enough of your assets to remain tasteful, yet exciting! Between the red clay of Talladega and a few spills from a well lubricated me drinking red wine, mine is no longer fit for wearing except around the house and lake. I definitely need to order another one, which I will do right here.
I love two things about this hat: 1) It's misspelled, and 2) it's made in China. I think both of those facts are highly 'merican. Buy it for the irony. It fits well and although it's only $9 or less, it's decent quality (as in for $9).
Don't forget the board shorts...they also run tight.
More and more
Look, I could go on and on and on with all the stuff I have. If you follow the site or me on Instagram, you know that I love America. I've been all over the world, and I love to leave America from time to time. This is the Land of the Free, and Home of the Brave" though, and even though we have plenty of problems, it's still pretty damn great here. 'Merica gear is big time business now, and you can find it in a ton of places. I recently purchased a couple shirts fromAmericanAsF*ck and they are really nice quality. They always have deals going on their instagram so if you like something, check out their IG page and get a code. I am not affiliated with them in any way, other than being AAF myself. Don't forget that it's hot on the 4th of July in America, so don't forget your sweatbands and hats, or your board shorts and bathing suits. For your convenience you can see what Amazon has to offer by searching right below this post. Cheers to a happy Independence Day (not the movie...don't see that pile of garbage). Stay safe, keep all your fingers, eyebrows, eyes, and eardrums in tact!
The "King" of the Lake
I'm Mike, I live on a lake in the Midwest. I boat, ski, swim, kayak, tube, float, drink, and everything else there is to do on the lake, and then I write about it! I have a Golden Lab named Murphy, and when not injured I compete in triathlons. Read More
